Mrs. Christina Larsen
MRS. TINA LARSEN WAS RAISED IN MERNA, NE. SHE GRADUATED FROM ANSELMO-MERNA HIGH SCHOOL IN 2001. FOLLOWING GRADUATION, SHE ATTENDED WAYNE STATE COLLEGE, MAJORING IN ELEMENTARY EDUCATION WITH AN ENDORSEMENT IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION. HER FIRST TEACHING JOB WAS AS A PRESCHOOL TEACHER AT ANSELMO-MERNA SCHOOL. IN 2008, SHE STARTED TEACHING FOURTH GRADE AT A-M. AFTER SEVEN YEARS IN THE CLASSROOM, SHE BECAME THE K-12 GUIDANCE COUNSELOR IN 2015. SHE WAS MARRIED TO ADAM LARSEN IN 2006. THE COUPLE HAS A DAUGHTER, EMMA, and two SONs: TRAVEN AND OWEN. MRS. LARSEN IS ALSO ON THE SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT STEERING COMMITTEE AND is THE COORDINATOR OF THE COYOTE CUPBOARD/BACKPACK PROGRAM. Mrs. Larsen earned her masters degree in literacy with an emphasis as a reading specialist from Concordia university in may 2016. She will graduate FROM LAMAR UNIVERSITY with a masters degree in school counseling in December 2017.
